Preservation advocacy is an important part of our FAM origin story as our successful efforts to save the Mafundi Building have shown. However, our preservation advocacy includes more than the built environment. Our podcast focuses on archiving and preserving oral histories of Watts.

The FAM team has interviewed several Watts elders in efforts to collect stories that honor the history, culture, and traditions of Watts. More exciting interviews are planned to dive deeper into the legacy of the Mafundi Building.
